If you are coming from Orlando or Sandford Airports, join the Interstate 4 and follow it to Tampa where it joins Interstate 275 - see maps A & B.
If you are coming from Tampa Airport then follow the road signs for the Airport Exit and then Interstate 275 South for Downtown and St Petersburg, and then towards St Petersburg. The Airport Road leads onto the interstate (blue sign marked I.275)
You will cross the Howard Franklin Bridge, which is a long, long, bridge over the Tampa Bay.
Keep on Interstate 275 until you come to junction 23B which is signposted to 5th Avenue North - see the larger map. Here you are leaving the Interstate immediately before the road splits between the I. 275 and the I. 375.
Leave the Interstate at 5th Avenue North, and as you drive down the slip road you come to traffic lights. Keep straight on through the lights, until Central Avenue, (which crosses from left to right) where you turn right.
Drive along Central Avenue for several miles, all the way across the peninsular.
About half a mile after crossing route 19/693 (Pasadena Avenue) you will get your first view of the water, on your left and right, you will cross a bridge over an inlet and then onto the Causeway.
At the next traffic light turn left onto 79th Street South, and 2nd Avenue South is the third turning on the left - the house is on the left (7853, 2nd Avenue South).
